The Holiday Park in Hokitika exceeded my expectations in two key areas. First, the shared bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. It was clear that the management takes hygiene seriously and ensures a comfortable experience for all guests. Second, the room with a shared bathroom was spacious and provided all the necessary amenities for a convenient stay. The comfortable beds and well-equipped furnishings made my sleep and relaxation quite enjoyable.
There was a minor inconvenience during my stay. The Wi-Fi connection was not working throughout the duration of my visit.

As a bigger group of friends, we loved the clean and cozy bunk room with comfortable bunks and the option to bring our own bedding. The room had a wall-mounted TV with Freeview, mini fridge, toaster, and jug. The shared kitchen was very large, clean, and well-equipped with all the utensils we needed. The shared bathrooms were clean and the showers had good pressure and hot water. The lounge with a fireplace and comfortable couches was a great place to relax. The playground with a pirate ship and flying fox, along with the outdoor picnic areas with gas-powered BBQ's and braziers, made our stay fun and enjoyable. The modern rustic feel of the facility added to the charm, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Felt more than at home, no complaints.

The room I had was super cozy with a really comfortable bed, which was perfect. It also had central heating, so no need to worry about being cold. Plus, there was a fridge to keep my snacks and drinks cool, and an electric kettle to make my morning coffee. Having a handy kitchenette here was really convenient. 🍳

Great service and friendly staff. The receptionist went out of her way to help us when we were running late for a tour, and even made alternative arrangements for us. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. The park itself was entertaining for the kids, with cute fireplaces in the lounge areas. The location was also convenient, close to the main shops.
The wifi was a big letdown. We were given a password for 100mb, but it kept disconnecting and we had to keep entering new passwords.

With our children under 16 and one under 2, our stay at Hokitika Holiday Park was fantastic. The kids absolutely loved the playground, especially the thrilling flying fox. The cabin we stayed in had a cozy outdoor space with a picnic table, perfect for family meals. The kitchen was well-stocked and clean, making it easy for us to prepare meals together. the atmosphere was warm and relaxing, and our kids had an absolute blast.
My wife says that it would have been great to have more shower facilities available.
